Summary

This project brought together several interior improvements for a home in Chuckey. The homeowner wanted to open up their stairwell, update the safety features, and improve bathroom ventilation to address moisture issues. The job called for careful demolition and thoughtful updates to both the electrical and structural elements.

The Work

Removed a 10-foot partition wall from the stairwell and hauled away debris
Installed a new decorative handrail and balusters for safety and style
Upgraded bathroom exhaust by removing an old ceiling heater, rerouting wiring, and fitting a quieter fan
Patched drywall, matched ceiling texture, and painted all affected areas for a seamless finish

The Outcome

Opening up the stairwell instantly made the space feel brighter and more welcoming. The new fan keeps moisture in check and runs quietly. Every transition between old and new surfaces blends in, so the updates feel like they’ve always belonged. These small changes added both comfort and value to the home.
